Welcome! We're so glad that you're here.

At Meisner in Music, we are committed to fostering a more inclusive and vibrant artistic community, recognizing the need to uplift individuals who may have faced barriers in accessing opportunities within the performing arts. Our Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Scholarship seeks to support artists from racial and ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, and/or with disabilities who have historically been excluded from Western music and theatre traditions.

Please note: Disability-Based Eligibility
As a small, independent arts studio with limited scholarship funding, we ask applicants to help us reserve disability-based aid for individuals whose disabilities create significant, ongoing barriers to participation, employment, or access to resources within the performing arts.
You may be eligible for disability-based aid if any of the following apply to you:

-
Your disability has substantially limited your ability to work or earn income for six months or longer
-
Your disability has contributed to your need for public assistance or income-based aid, such as Medicaid, SNAP, SSI/SSDI, housing assistance, or similar programs
-
Your disability has limited your access to traditional performing arts education, casting, or professional opportunities due to inaccessibility or expectations of able-bodied movement, vocalization, or performance
This scholarship is intended for applicants whose disabilities result in material and sustained access barriers. Thank you for your help in upholding this!
Please write a brief statement (up to 250 words) on how this scholarship would support you and how your lived experience or circumstances align with the goals of this scholarship.
